Quality Management Statement
ChemTec Equipment Company, established in 1968, provides flow meters, flow monitors, and excess flow valves. Our products specialize in low flow applications for liquid and gas. Our meters, monitors, and valves are used in a vast array of industries globally. ChemTec designs, manufactures, assembles, and tests all products locally in Deerfield Beach, Florida, United States.
We value our customers and strive to provide them with the highest industry standards of low flow monitors, meters, and excess flow valves while simultaneously providing excellent customer service, a no-minimum customization service, and quick turn-around delivery times.
We are committed to continuous improvement and have established a Quality Management System that provides a framework for measuring and improving our products and their performance.
The following systems and procedures are in place to support us in our aim of total customer satisfaction and continuous improvement throughout our business:
- Regular gathering and monitoring of customer feedback
- A customer complaints procedure
- Selection and performance monitoring of suppliers against set criteria
- Training and development for our employees
- Regular audit of our internal processes
- Measurable quality objectives which reflect our business aims
- Management reviews of audit results, customer feedback and complaints
Our internal procedures are reviewed regularly and held in a Quality Manual, which is made available to all employees. This policy is posted on the Company Notice Board and can also be found in the staff handbook. Though the Managing Director has ultimate responsibility for quality, all employees have a responsibility within their own areas of work in helping to ensure that quality is embedded within the whole of the company.
Conflict Minerals Report
In 2010, Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Act, which directs the Commission to issue rules requiring certain companies to disclose their use of conflict minerals if those minerals are “necessary to the functionality or production of a product” manufactured by those companies. Under the Act, those minerals include tantalum, tin, gold, or tungsten.
The Conflicts Minerals Law is the source for legal insights and analysis on Conflict Minerals Compliance. It fosters discussions and provides insights on regulations, due diligence, litigation developments, and industry activity for compliance officers and the supply chain.
ChemTec complies with the SEC’s conflict minerals rule. Here is our report from 2023 for public download and review (PDF, opens in new window).
UL Certified in the United States and Canada
When ChemTec manufactures a valve, it is submitted to UL for standards certifications. UL is a global independent safety science company that offers manufacturers resources for education and certification. The UL also has the ability to test, inspect, and audit companies to protect their mission of promoting safe working environments across the world. Just in 2013, UL had 1,485 standards and 20,268 types of products, as well as 583,400 inspection visits.
In the past, companies have been audited and asked to prove what kind of certifications and standards the specific part meets. At ChemTec, our products are certified and hold industry standards in the United States and Canada, so being audited won’t slow our orders or customers down.
RoHS & REACH
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), also known as Directive 2015/996/EU, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance.
ChemTec products meet the material restrictions of RoHS, as proposed by the RoHS Technical Adaptation Committee, based upon information provided by suppliers of the raw materials used by ChemTec Equipment Company.
EACH, or the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, aims to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, the promotion of alternative test methods, the free circulation of substances on the internal market, and enhancing competitiveness and innovation.
Additionally, ChemTec has ensured that its suppliers have taken necessary action to meet the requirements of REACH to ensure that ChemTec products can continue to be supplied in the EU and worldwide.
