Flow sensors—also known as flow monitors or flow switches—measure liquid or gas flow and work like an “on/off” switch. They can control many industrial processes based on actuation settings or requirements.
ChemTec’s all-Teflon liquid flow sensors are useful for semiconductor fabrication processes. They are capable of handling volatile or non-volatile chemicals, deionized or ultra-high purity water, and high or low flow rates. No matter your process, ChemTec has the products and procedures to meet the rigorous standards of semiconductor fabrication.
Flow Sensor Application Examples
There are different flow sensor product types used in different applications. Depending on the gas or liquid measured and its physical attributes, a different method is needed to measure flow. To determine the right flow sensor for an application, we look at parameters such as the accuracy required, material, pressure, and volumetric range of the flow sensor.
ChemTec’s liquid flow meter sensors are used in the semiconductor industry in the wash down process. They handle liquid that is either corrosive or ultrapure throughout the wet chemical process. Our liquid flow sensors can be used in a wide variety of washdown applications, from chemical wet benches to wet chemical equipment and more.
Semiconductor manufacturing is precise, and liquid flow sensors help achieve precise levels of the flow of chemicals. Using liquid flow sensors helps ensure no chemicals are overused, and that the desired results are met.
Liquid Flow Sensor Units We Offer
ChemTec’s Ultra High Purity LPH Series Flow Monitors and LPH Teflon® are fit for a flow range from 50ML to 5,000ML. Learn more about top units and liquid flow sensor types below.
The LPH Series Non-Adjustable Liquid/Gas Flow Monitor is used to monitor flows of corrosive and non-corrosive liquids and gasses. It features close on-off differential, a visual indication of flow with the acrylic model, no seals, and in-line vertical plumbing. Best applications are for analyzers, kidney dialysis machines, micro biomedical machines, laser cooling systems, bubbler systems, and pollution sampling equipment.
The LPH UHP Series was made for applications with ultra-high purity gasses. Its key features are its compact size and 1/2″ MVCR. It also features close on-off differential, no seals, EP to 10RA, 316L stainless steel materials, switch contact output, and in-line vertical plumbing. In addition, it senses high/low flow conditions and confirms normal flow conditions.
The 125 Series Standard Unobtrusive Adjustable Flow Monitor is best for applications where the ratio (normal flow/set point) is 10:1 or greater. Its key feature is minimal pressure drop. It offers a broad range of adjustability, compact size, and high resolution. The best applications are for analyzers and welding systems, purge gasses, and wet stations.
The MAO 500 Series Flow Meter and MAO 125/250 Series Flow Meter measure flows of corrosive and non-corrosive liquids. Both series feature no bearings, a single moving part, in-line metering, and no rotating internals. Best applications are for wet benches, cooling systems, corrosive chemical dispensing, materials consumption measurement, and process controls.
