Tell us how you came about a career in the low-flow applications industry.
From the beginning of my career, I was specifically searching for a job that would allow me to learn and grow professionally. Luckily, I was able to find that through the ChemTec family.
I was originally hired by ChemTec’s founding members in my twenties before taking a ten-year break. I was then hired for return by Bill Nolan. I have worked for ChemTec for 24 years since, and this company has taught me everything that I know.
What does your day-to-day look like as an assembly specialist?
My day-to-day responsibilities are centered around the assembly process. As orders come in every day and night, I’m tasked with putting products together and determining shipping and delivery rates; we confer with Stephanie to update us on stock status & her production time so we can quote an accurate delivery time in which to ship the order.
Out of stock products go to the shop for assembly. Following the assembly process, products are tested
to ensure that they are ready to go to customers. – Out of stock parts come from the machine shop into assembly when ready. Following the assembly process, all products are tested to ensure they are ready to go out to our customers.
What is the most rewarding, or your favorite, aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role at ChemTec is the caring and “family” atmosphere. Being with this company for 24 years has allowed me to feel loved and fostered in my career.
This is a special and niche industry that takes years of learning to be involved in. However, this team makes these niche technicalities worth it.
What strengths do you bring to your position?
I get things done. I also love to encourage other employees to get things done in a timely manner through support and communication.
When we all follow the same recipe, the finished product is achieved. I also promote a sense of understanding among the team through clear communication.
What has contributed to your success at ChemTec?
The main contributions to my success at ChemTec have been training and education from my peers. I love my working hours and environment, and Raj and the team are always willing to help me learn more.
Tell us a little bit about your personal life! What are your hobbies? What motivates you?
I enjoy hunting and fishing with my husband in Northern Florida. We often enjoy relaxing visits to Sebring!
